Some of the more commonly asked questions from candidates answered below:
Q. What is the applicaton procedure?
A. Applications are generally made through our jobs online or by forwarding your resume to email@example.com. From there a Recruitment Advisor will be in touch to discuss your application. We will then need to interview you in person BEFORE we present you to any of the Wood Recruitment clients.
Q. When do I first hear from Wood Recruitment?
A. Once your resume has been assessed we will always contact our candidates by phone or email no matter the outcome on whether we are able to assist or otherwise.
Q. Will you contact my current employer even if I am still working and have not resigned from that position?
A. We endeavour to contact at least two of your most recent employment references before we speak to our client about your application. If you are still employed and unable to give your current employer as a reference we will take two different references. We will at some stage need to contact your employer, with your consent, as part of the process and it is not uncommon for an offer of employment to be made subject to the reference being done.
Q. You now have my resume, are you going to send it out to all of your clients ?
A. No, Wood Recruitment will always speak to our candidates on each job opportunity to seek your permission to release your personal information. There are times when a Wood Recruitment Advisor identifies you as a great fit for one of our clients however we will still speak to you before sending details to our client.
Q. Can I be represented by Wood Recruitment and other recruiters ?
A. This is quite possible but is discouraged as clients who see resumes of the same candidate more than once almost always see this as negative and even desperate. It is reasonable to have two agencies working on your behalf, where both agencies advise you where your resume is being sent, however not all agencies work this way and will "market" you like spam.
