Job advertisements continue to rise

After a steady April, Perth job advertisements listed on Seek have started to tick up again. Still at extremely high levels and in the range not seen since mid 2012 the big jumps have been seen in the Trades and Medical industries however, surprisingly, the Administration sector has also been extremely positive.
Total Perth job advertisements are up almost 38% on pre Covid-19 levels and Administration and Office Support has recorded the second largest increase of 66% and 900% up on the lowest points during Covid-a9 in April 2020.
Outside of Perth we are hearing that the Eastern States have recorded the largest increase in jobs ever on record for March 2021 – we are currently verifying this with Seek.
