AV Presales Design Engineer
- Our client is a progressive thinking organisation and one of the most respected market leaders due to their professionalism and drive in the marketplace. They now require a Presales Design Engineer who will work closely with the Sales and Operations to deliver modern, reliable and easy to use AV systems that can be effectively supported and maintained.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting Sales colleagues in providing quality assurance
- High-level system design drawings, in the tender specified format
- Review consultant’s specifications and supporting documentation
- Equipment review and performance research
- Meet with the client, consultant or builder in support of the sales team
- Act as liaison between suppliers and other technical groups
- Create a list of equipment needed to complete a given project/system
- Evaluating and testing new AV equipment and technology
- Attend Kick Off meeting and keep all related documents updated
- Document management for system drawings and project correspondence
- Assist in creating and maintaining in-house library of AutoCAD blocks and symbols
- Attend regular engineering / startup meetings
What you’ll need:
- Electronics / Audio visual background
- Experienced in the AV systems design of Crestron, Extron, AMX etc
- Experience with AutoCAD, Visio & PowerPoint desirable
- Understanding of audio-visual system components and electronic equipment
- Current electrical servicing of audio-visual equipment skills
- High level of product knowledge
- Clear understanding of installation plan by salesperson, client and installers
- To conform to all HSE requirements and take personal responsibility for OH&S
