Commercial Business Development Manager - NSW

Our client is seeking a proactive and result-driven Commercial Business Development Manager to lead their sales efforts for mobile shelving, static shelving, and office system projects. The role primarily involves selling shelving and storage solutions to clients in the health industry, hospitals, museums, libraries, architects, universities, and government education sectors. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and achieving revenue targets.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop sales plans for new and existing clients
  • Identify and qualify new business leads
  • Build and maintain industry relationships
  • Research potential income streams
  • Monitor competitor activities
  • Generate leads and schedule appointments
  • Visit customer sites, coordinate with sales teams
  • Understand product value proposition
  • Create detailed proposals and tenders
  • Identify business strengths and customer needs
  • Follow sales process and address concerns
  • Participate in industry events
  • Promote company integrity
  • Contribute to team and comply with requests

What you'll need:

  • A high level of people interaction and negotiating skills
  • Professional, positive, and diligent attitude
  • 1-2 years’ relevant experience in similar role or industry
  • High School Certificate
  • Certificate IV in Sales and marketing (advantageous)
  • Undergraduate Bachelor’s degree (advantageous)
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
