Purchasing Administrator

Our client, a transportation service provider located in West Perth, is seeking a skilled Purchasing Administrator to support their various projects. This temp-to-perm role, reporting to the Technical Manager, involves ensuring seamless purchasing and logistics coordination. It is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of multiple projects.

What you'll be doing:

  • Collating vessel and site purchase requisitions
  • Parts sourcing and creating purchase orders
  • Liaising with suppliers for purchasing and logistics
  • Freight and logistics instigation and coordination
  • Liaising with site coordinators for goods receivals and distribution
  • Continuous monitoring of backorders, following up as necessary

What you'll need:

  • Minimum year 12 education
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Friendly and positive attitude
  • Purchasing and logistics experience (desirable)
  • Marine industry experience (desirable)
