Unemployment Rate | WA Steady Edges Lower to 6.4%

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for Western Australia decreased to 6.4% for the month of May 2018, down from a rate of 6.5% for April.
The unemployment rate also averaged 6.0% over the year to May 2018, which is slightly lower than the 6.2% recorded for the year to May 2017.
The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for the nation came in at 5.4% during May and was down from 5.6% for the month of April. The rate averaged 5.5% over the year to May and is slightly down on the 5.7% recorded for the year ended May 2017.
