The trend unemployment rate has remained steady across Australia in June with Queensland the only state to record an increase up 0.1% to 6.3%. The National unemployment rate remained at 5.2%, Western Australian rate remains at 5.9% and New South Wales continue to have the lowest rate of the major cities steady at 4.5%. Australian Capital Territory remains the lowest of all states at 3.4%.
Some of the other numbers released today include:
Employment increased by 26,300 persons
Unemployment person increased by 4,700
Unemployment rate increased 0.1 to 5.0%.
Participation rate remained increased by 0.1 to 66.0%.
Underemployment remained steady at 8.3%
